Q: Are you doing anything unique, innovative or special as part of the Massive Update?

Absolutely! Our upcoming update is packed with fun and new features that take full advantage of the Unity engine. Players can look forward to enhanced graphics, smoother animations, and overall better performance, creating a more visually appealing experience.

We’re introducing the Hall of Jam, a fresh progression system where you collect bananas to unlock all kinds of rewards. There’s also the new Costume Collections, letting players unlock themed Minion costume sets to personalize their game even more.

And that’s not all! We’ve added daily and weekly Tournaments for some friendly competition and new Gadgets that offer temporary boosts to add a strategic twist. Plus, Endless Run mode is back, offering continuous gameplay to make it more engaging and fun for the long haul.

This update taps into Unity’s potential to deliver a seamless and exciting experience while staying true to what makes the game so special.

Q: Will all 155 costumes be carried over with the Massive Update, along with their respective rarity cards?

Almost all 155 costumes are making the move to the new rarity system! That said, a few costumes will be retired since they no longer fit the updated vision for the game.

You’ll still be able to unlock costumes using the new Sticker currency, which you can earn in all kinds of ways like Tournaments, Events, Hall of Jam in-game rewards, Chests, and even fun features like the Prize Wheel. Plus, they’ll still be available for purchase in the Store if you’re looking to complete your collection faster.

Q: What will happen to our tokens, coins, bananas, perks, boosters, revives, special mission trophies, and legacy records from the Jelly Lab?

Most of your unlocked costumes will carry over to the new version! However, there are a few exceptions like Tsarevna, Bogatyr, Jelly Jar, and Migration Minion that won’t make the transition.

The new update will introduce a brand-new currency called G-Coins, while your existing Tokens will be carried over. Additionally, some in-game items and currencies will be updated to align with the new features and mechanics to enhance overall gameplay experience.

As for Tokens, Coins, and select other items, anything not carried over will be converted into extra Tokens and exclusive profile customizations, such as frames and player avatar, based on your current inventory.

The number of Tokens you receive will depend on how far you’ve progressed in the game. All players who downloaded Minion Rush before the Massive Update will receive special in-game rewards, including a limited-time Hall of Jam tank limit increase and a unique Avatar and Avatar Frame to customize your Player Profile.

Q: Will Special Missions still exist in the Massive Update, and if so, will they be reworked or remain unchanged?

Special Missions, in the form they existed before, will no longer be available in the Massive Update. Instead, we’re introducing fresh, time-limited events that are even more exciting! We’re reworking the event system to offer dynamic gameplay experiences with unique challenges and rewards that will keep you engaged and entertained. We’ll share more soon about what we’re bringing as a replacement.

Q: Will there be any changes to the Minions' abilities in the Massive Update?

The Minions are getting a bit of a makeover! Instead of individual abilities, they’ll now contribute to a cumulative bonus that boosts your game progression. The more Minions you unlock within collections, the faster you’ll progress and the easier it’ll be to hit those new high scores.

Q: Will the ability to switch locations during a single run return as a feature?

Switching locations during a single run won’t be part of the initial update, but the good news is that it’s on the horizon! This feature is expected to make a comeback in future updates, so stay tuned.

Q: Will the Minion Launcher make a return in the Massive Update?

While the Minion Launcher itself won’t be returning, we’re introducing brand-new Gadgets that take gameplay to the next level. These Gadgets give you a temporary boost during your run and can be equipped beforehand. These Gadgets are designed to help you cover greater distances and bring a fresh layer of strategy and excitement to your runs. With dynamic boosts and unique mechanics, they’ll make every play session more engaging and rewarding.

Q: Will new events be included in the Massive Update?

Yes, the Massive Update will bring even more exciting events and activities your way. These new additions will give you plenty of fresh challenges and fun ways to enjoy the game.

Q: Is the Jelly Lab making a comeback?

We’ve heard how much you loved the Jelly Lab, and we’re actively exploring ways to bring back a similar experience in future updates. While it won’t be part of the initial Massive Update, we’ve been focused on building a solid new core to support exciting features down the line.

In the meantime, we’re introducing the Hall of Jam, which is an evolution of the Jelly Lab concept. It offers a streamlined and rewarding progression system where collecting bananas fills the Hall of Jam tank, unlocking valuable rewards and new features. Best of all, it encourages fun and consistent gameplay without locking you into a specific playstyle.

Plus, we’re planning to roll out new Time-Limited Events (TLEs) in future updates to keep the game fresh and engaging.

Q: Will the Jelly Puzzles be redesigned?

We’re definitely looking into it. Our goal is to bring back some of the most engaging elements from features you’ve loved in the past, including aspects of the Jelly Puzzles.

Q: Will new characters be added as playable options?

New playable characters aren’t planned, as the Minions are still the focus of the game. For the Massive Update, we’re focusing on making their adventures more exciting, enhancing fun interactions, and upgrading the visual quality of the game.

Q: Will old mechanics like Minion Racer multiplayer return, and will there be competitive gameplay similar to Minion Races?

While Minion Racer multiplayer won’t be making a comeback, we’re bringing in daily and weekly Tournaments to make things just as competitive and rewarding. Daily and weekly Tournaments are time-limited events where you can compete against other players by completing specific tasks to earn points and unlock in-game rewards.

These tournaments are designed to capture the fun and competitive spirit while delivering more engaging gameplay.

Q: What new and exciting activities or unique features can we look forward to in the update? Will the game’s controls and mechanics see major changes, or will they remain familiar?

• Story Puzzles: Inspired by the iconic movies, Story Puzzles let you relive your favorite moments with your favorite Minions.
• Shop & Rewards: Spin the prize wheel, grab new items in the shop, and earn bonus rewards with your first purchase. It’s all about keeping the fun and rewards coming!
• Controls: Don’t worry, the intuitive swipes for running, jumping, and sliding are staying the same. We’ve added some fresh twists to keep things interesting, but everything will feel comfortably familiar.

Q: When is the update expected to be released?

Q: Was the game moved to a new engine to accommodate the graphics changes?

That’s right! The game has transitioned to a new engine, which brings improved graphics and modern effects to enhance your visual experience. This upgrade not only makes the game look better but also allows us to add and scale new features more efficiently.

Q: Will we have the option to switch to the older graphics version in the settings or access the previous version of the game?

No, it won’t be possible to switch back to the older graphics or access a previous version of the game once the update is applied. We recommend keeping the game updated so you can enjoy all the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes.

Trying to install an older version could lead to issues like progress loss, bugs, or instability, so it’s always best to stick with the latest version for the smoothest and most enjoyable experience.

Q: Will images from Despicable Me 4 be included in the Massive Update?

The Massive Update will include new features inspired by all the movies. For example, the Story Puzzle feature highlights different pictures featuring characters, locations, and scenes from various films.

Q: I’ve been playing this game for years and years. I really hope we long time players won’t lose everything we’ve spent so much time collecting.

Q: Will we have to start from scratch?

You’ll need to start playing from the beginning of Hall of Jam, but any tokens and costumes you’ve purchased or earned will carry over to the new update. This means you won’t lose your rewards and can progress faster with the bonuses and multipliers your existing costumes provide in the new features.

While the Massive Update will encourage you to develop new strategies and skills, your past achievements will ensure you’re well-equipped to explore and enjoy everything the update has to offer.

Q: Will the update introduce new Minions or costumes?

The update will bring in new costumes as part of the exciting Costume Collections feature! These collections will give you fresh new looks for your Minions and let you personalize your gameplay even more, allowing you to unlock and collect unique costumes as you progress.

Q: Will the update include multiplayer or cooperative modes?

Multiplayer or cooperative modes won’t be part of this update, but we’ve got something new and competitive. Daily and weekly Tournaments are where you can compete against other players by completing fun challenges to earn rewards.

Q: How will the update affect leaderboard rankings?

The Massive Update will bring a brand-new set of leaderboard rankings to align with the new changes and features in the game. You’ll be able to compete within the updated system and track your progress with the new mechanics. It’s a fresh start that we think will make climbing the leaderboards even more rewarding.

Q: Is there a chance the game might become more pay-to-win?

Q: Will the update take up more space on my device?

The update does bring high-quality graphics and enhanced visuals, which means it will require more device performance. Devices with less than 2GB of RAM won’t be supported in the new version. However, this change allows us to deliver a higher visual quality experience for players with compatible devices.

Q: Could the Massive Update bring more ads or pop-ups?

We’re focused on creating a balanced experience where ads won’t be overwhelming.

Q: Will the Massive Update include new maps or levels?

You can expect new levels and maps soon, especially with the Hall of Jam feature, which unlocks access to additional levels as you progress. While we couldn't include all previous locations, boss fights, and TLEs in this update that were created throughout the years, we're introducing more exciting content in future updates.
