MASSIVE UPDATE: PROGRESS TRANSFER GUIDE

Hello Runners!

We’ve received many questions from you about how to transfer your Minion Rush game profile, progress (“Game Data”) for the Massive Update. In this post, we’ll answer your questions and provide detailed information on how to successfully save your Game Data for the Massive Update and transfer your Game Data to the updated version of Minion Rush. Let’s get started!

About the Transfer System

For the Massive Update, we developed a system to securely transfer your Game Data (“Data Transfer”) from the current version of Minion Rush to the, updated version. If you are a player of the current version of Minion Rush, you will first need to update and open this version of the game. You will then be prompted with pop-ups that explain the Data Transfer. After the transfer is confirmed complete, you will be able to play the updated version of Minion Rush.

Please Note: The Data Transfer is only available to players who have made progress in the current version of Minion Rush. If you have not made any progress in the current version of Minion Rush, or you do not want to save your Game Data from the current version of Minion Rush, you do not need to complete the Data Transfer.

How to Complete the Data Transfer

1. You need to have the current version of Minion Rush with the Game Data you want to transfer on the same device that you will use to play the updated version. The device should NOT be cleared or restored to factory settings or else it will disrupt the transfer.
2. We highly recommend that you connect the current version of Minion Rush to one of your cloud connected accounts. This applies to users aged 18 and older.

   Sign in to a cloud connected account that has enough storage to save and backup your Game Data using any of these methods:

   • Auto sign to Google Play Games/Apple Game Center.
   • Manual sign in to Google Play Games/Game Center/Apple ID/Facebook.
3. When the Massive Update arrives, update the current version of Minion Rush to the Massive Update version.
4. Open the updated version of Minion Rush. If you completed all of the above steps, you should see a pop-up that notes your Game Data has been saved and transferred. A series of pop-ups will then lead you through a tutorial to complete the Data Transfer.

5. After the tutorial, go to the Main Menu and sign in to the cloud connected account linked to your current Game Data. You will see a “Progress Transfer” pop-up with details about your transfer. Once you press the “Confirm” button, the transferred in-game currency (see note about Tokens later), costumes, and other items will automatically be connected to your profile.
6. Enjoy the game!

Data Transfer Details and Exclusive Rewards

1. In the Massive Update, costume cards will no longer be a feature. Additionally, certain costumes such as Tsarevna, Bogatyr, Jelly Jar, and Migration Minion will not be transferred to the new update, but all other costumes will be ready for your use.

   After you update the game, you will see a transfer progress pop-up displaying the number of costumes transferred. The costumes will be unlocked in your Collection and Wardrobe once you confirm the progress transfer.

2. Any Tokens you have in the current version of Minion Rush will be transferred to the new version of Tokens used in the updated version of the game, with 1 to 1 conversion.

   Important: Banana Coins will be removed as a currency in the updated version of Minion Rush and will not be transferred. We encourage you to spend them in the current version of Minion Rush before then. Please note that once the Massive Update is installed, it will be a permanent update. This means you won’t be able to switch back to the older version of the game.

3. Now it’s time for in-game Tokens and G-Coins! Depending on how long you've been playing Minion Rush will determine what in-game rewards you’ll receive.

   Tokens: You will receive Tokens during the Massive Update based on the total number of days you played in the current version of the game. You can see how this is determined by the image below.

   

   G-Coins: Any purchases you made with real money in the current version of Minion Rush will be transferred to the updated version of the game as G-Coins*. The conversion rate will depend on the current currency conversion rate of your country, with the Euro as the base reference currency.

   

   *G-Coins is a new in-game currency that will be available in the Massive Update. It can only be purchased with real money.
